Eröffnung der Ausstellung “Antisemitismus? Antizionismus? Israelkritik?” im Deutschen Bundestag
On January 26th 2009 at 1600h, Bundestagsvizepräsidentin (Vice President of the Federal Parliament) Gerada Hasselfeldt will open the exhibition “Antisemitismus? Antizionismus? Israelkritik?” (“Anti-Semitism? Anti-Zionism? Criticising Israel?”) in the German Bundestag (Federal Parliament). Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Benz, Head of the Berlin Centre on the Research on Anti-Semitism, will give an introduction. Ortwin Bader-Iskraut (violoncello) and Philipp Wollheim (violin) will accompany the opening.
The exhibit wants to show that anti-Semitic stereotypes are still active today, e.g. the “Jewish world conspiracy”, by using contemporary examples (mainly photos and cartoons) of anti-Semitism in Germany and Europe.
The exhibition especially addresses the youth and has been organised by the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem and the Zentrum für Antisemitismusforschung (Centre on the Research on Anti-Semitism) of the Technical University Berlin.
Unfortunately, it is only for a very few days on disply, from January 26th to 30th in the Westfoyer (Western foyer) of the Paul-Löbe-Haus, Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 1 in Berlin.
Opening hours: Tu-Th 0800-1600h, Fr 0800-1400h
The entrance is free of charge.
